2. The preview, creator intake and private beta

Bingetime is a development preview preparing for a creator-first launch and a later public member launch. Available features depend on whether creator intake, private beta and public viewing are open. An account or beta password does not by itself make a title available, authorise a payment or grant permission to publish someone else’s work.

Account information, creator work, team access, support requests and enabled member activity are saved on our systems. Labelled sample titles and demo activity are demonstrations; they are separate from saved account records. Labelled Stripe sandbox activity creates test billing and access records without moving real money. Live billing and creator payout release remain disabled.

When video intake is enabled, uploads use real storage, video processing and assisted review as explained below. An upload is not a public release. We provide this notice at the upload and submission steps so you can understand the processing before sending material.

3. Information we collect

  • Account and security: email address, verification status, account and session identifiers, sign-in records, authentication settings, encrypted authenticator setup material and recovery-code validation records. Passkeys provide a public key, credential identifier and registration/use records; we do not receive your fingerprint, face scan, device PIN or passkey private key. If you choose Google sign-in when available, we receive your Google account identifier, verified email and identity proof. We do not request Gmail, Drive or contacts access.
  • Profiles and member activity: display names, maturity and autoplay preferences, selected profile, saved titles, follows, ratings, playback sessions, viewing progress and playback events when those features are used. We record viewing activity to resume playback, enforce access, produce audience reports and assess eligible viewing for royalty calculations. A profile preference is not proof of age; the preview does not collect identity documents to verify age.
  • Creator work: publishing-account details, public profile information, artwork, team membership, invitations, titles, credits, metadata, declarations, proposed prices, revisions and submissions. Uploaded films, trailers, artwork and captions can contain people’s voices, images and other personal information. We also process filenames, technical media information, processing status, generated transcripts, timestamped visual observations, analysis limitations and review decisions. Submit only material and personal information you are entitled to provide.
  • Test financial records: account/order identifiers, item descriptions, amounts and currency, provider references, payment/refund/dispute states, subscription and access records, creator statements, payout-onboarding status and notification delivery records. Information entered in a payment provider’s hosted form goes to that provider; we do not store full card numbers or security codes. Payout-provider status is not proof that a payout has been made.
  • Support: contact details, messages, relevant account, title, submission or order references, case history and any attachments you send. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive information.
  • Technical records: IP addresses and request information processed by hosting, delivery and mail systems, available browser/device information, error records, timestamps, rate limits and audit events used to deliver and protect the service.

4. Why we use information

Where UK data protection law applies, we rely on the following lawful bases as appropriate to the activity:

  • Providing the service you request: processing necessary to establish and operate your account, save your work and preferences, process uploaded media and requested submissions, administer authorised team access, record test orders and access, send related service notifications and answer service requests. This is generally necessary for our contract with you or steps you request before entering one.
  • Legitimate interests: securing accounts, preventing misuse, investigating failures and rights reports, maintaining reliable systems, reviewing content disclosures, preparing aggregate audience and viewing-integrity reports, and resolving operational enquiries. We consider the impact on your rights and use proportionate information for those interests.
  • Legal obligations: responding to binding legal requirements and retaining or disclosing records where the law requires it.
  • Consent, where required: any optional marketing, non-essential tracking or other activity that requires consent will have an appropriate choice. You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Providing an email address and authentication information is necessary for sign-in. If you do not provide required account information, those features cannot operate. Optional profile details and draft content are your choice. We do not currently run advertising or send an automatic marketing newsletter.

5. Cookies and browser storage

Essential first-party cookies keep you signed in and bind sign-in requests to the requesting browser. Email sign-in requests last up to 15 minutes, account sessions up to seven days, and passkey/Google sign-in challenges up to five minutes. Signing out invalidates the relevant session. Separate hostnames may require separate sign-in.

When private beta is open, an essential admission cookie lasts up to 24 hours. It proves beta admission only, not your identity, age or entitlement to content, and can end sooner after revocation or password rotation. Player and account features may use essential browser state to remember your choices. Labelled demonstration state may be temporary and is not a financial record.

We do not currently use advertising cookies or optional marketing trackers. If we introduce non-essential tracking, we will explain it and provide the required choice before it runs.

6. Who receives information

Access is limited by purpose and permissions. Relevant information may be processed by:

  • Newton Poole and authorised staff supporting, securing or reviewing the service. Content reviewers can inspect relevant submitted media and analysis evidence; finance and support access are restricted to their roles.
  • Achon/Hetzner infrastructure for the application, database, transactional mail, backups and hosted transcription/visual analysis. 20i hosting stores original media and off-site backups. Originals, delivery copies and backups serve different purposes and have separate access controls.
  • Cloudflare for DNS/network protection and, when video features are used, Stream processing and delivery of video copies. Delivery requests can include viewers’ network and device information.
  • Stripe for enabled test checkout and creator onboarding: relevant account contact, order, item, amount and provider-reference information. Data you enter in Stripe’s hosted forms is processed by Stripe; we receive status and reference information needed for the requested feature. See Stripe’s privacy information.
  • Google when you choose its available sign-in option. Its sign-in button and service process relevant browser/network and account information under Google’s privacy policy.
  • Authorised members of your creator account, who can access shared drafts or account information according to their role. Public profile fields and approved released content are visible to their intended audience. Creator audience reports use aggregates rather than individual viewers’ emails or viewing histories.
  • Advisers, regulators, courts or law-enforcement bodies where necessary and lawfully justified; and a lawful successor to the service with appropriate safeguards and notice.

We do not sell personal information. Saving or uploading private work does not make it publicly available.

7. Video processing and assisted review

When uploads are enabled, we receive and verify your media, retain an original with 20i and prepare a delivery copy through Cloudflare Stream. This includes technical processing needed to play video. Keep your own original; the preview is not your sole archive. Replacing a video creates a new version, and earlier submitted versions may remain in review and audit history.

Submitting a saved version for review can start automated assistance using audio transcription and visual observations on the Achon/Hetzner infrastructure. It produces text, timestamps, content-category findings, processing errors and coverage information for authorised review. The current adapters use hosted Whisper transcription and a hosted vision model; they do not send this analysis to Google Gemini or OpenAI. We do not use private work to train a general-purpose AI model.

Automated findings can miss context or be wrong. Incomplete coverage is not treated as proof that content is safe. Analysis alone does not certify an age rating, establish ownership or publish a title. Review and publication requirements remain separate. You can correct a submission or ask support to review a decision; we do not infer a person’s identity or legal rights from a voice, face or AI label.

Private work is available to permitted team members and the staff/providers needed for these tasks. Public release needs separate publishing checks and the applicable agreement. Draft revenue shares and example calculations are not final commercial terms. We will update material processing information before introducing a different use.

8. International processing

We operate from the United Kingdom. Hosting, communications and other service providers may process information in other countries. Where UK transfer restrictions apply, we must use an applicable adequacy arrangement or another legally recognised safeguard, such as appropriate contractual protections, before making the relevant restricted transfer.

You can contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your information. We will not treat continued use of the website as blanket consent to an otherwise unlawful international transfer.

9. How long we keep information

We keep account information, creator work and enabled member records while needed to provide the requested service. We consider the record’s purpose and sensitivity, whether an account or title remains active, security and recovery needs, outstanding rights reports or disputes, and any applicable legal duties. Revision, submission, analysis and audit records may remain necessary to explain decisions even after a draft changes. Removing a trailer from a draft does not erase earlier reviewed versions.

Temporary analysis files are cleaned after processing or controlled recovery. An interrupted upload can resume for up to seven days; expiry of that resume window is not a promise that every related record or backup is immediately deleted. A fixed automatic deletion schedule for every preview data category has not yet been implemented.

Test financial and viewing-evidence records are retained as needed to explain access, investigate errors and reconcile test statements. They remain labelled as test activity. Support records are kept to handle the request, related complaints and necessary accountability.

Ask support for access, closure or deletion. We verify ownership, assess the request and explain any records that must be retained and why. Original media, delivery copies and database records may need separate removal; encrypted backups may retain earlier copies until replaced or removed and are used for recovery rather than ordinary access. Inactivity alone does not delete an account.

10. Security

We use measures appropriate to the information and service, including encrypted transport, access controls, secure session handling, protected credentials, optional account authenticators and encrypted database backups. Administrative access is restricted. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Keep your email account and authentication methods secure. Report a suspected vulnerability or compromise to security@bingetime.com. Do not include passwords, recovery codes or private access links in the report.

11. Your rights and complaints

Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. These rights are not absolute; we will explain any applicable limitation.

Your right to object: you can object to processing based on legitimate interests, including relevant security, service-analysis or review uses, by contacting support and explaining your circumstances. We will assess the request and explain our response. You can object to direct marketing at any time; we do not currently run an automatic marketing newsletter.

Email support@bingetime.com with “Privacy request”, or write to the address above. Requests are handled by support; there is no automatic account-export or deletion button in this preview. We may need proportionate identity verification. We normally respond to a UK data-rights request within one month; lawful extensions or exceptions may apply and will be explained.

You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, or another competent regulator. You do not have to contact us first.

12. Children

The current preview is not designed for independent child accounts. Viewing profiles and maturity preferences are not parental verification or age assurance. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact support so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

We will establish and publish the relevant age and guardian arrangements before introducing features specifically intended for children.

13. Updates and contact

We may update this notice as the service changes. The effective date and version appear at the top. Material changes will receive appropriate notice, and any additional consent required by law will be obtained. A privacy notice is not a request for blanket consent.

For assistance, visit Support or email support@bingetime.com. Our Terms of Service describe use of the preview.
